Leatherface action figure

Wasn't sure I would like this figure or not when it arrived, but it met my expectations, primarily due to the cloth garments. Different than the usual NECA style that I'm used to.

His articulation is great, especially for stop motion. Much different from NECA.

Over all, a solid 10. Worth the money for someone like me who has a guilty pleasure with amazon.com.

REC• 2

Despite the inclusion of "religion".. Nice. The writers nearly sent this story straight to the sewer pits of Hell - BUT SURPRISINGLY,
they didn't.

I popped this DVD from netflix into my XBOX 360, laid down on my bed and was engrossed in REC•2, just as I was with the first film. It has all the intensity still intact. The crazy hand held camera work can be tedious and redundant though.

"DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!!" "FILM EVERYTHING!"

"FUCKING KILL EVERYONE!!"

I prefer the ladder of those three.

Enough's enough already with the filming. Time to start finding new ways to improve the art and affect/effect they're looking for. I can't offer any suggestions because.. Well, hell no. I'm not that forthcoming with my secrets. But some of my film making approaches are already common place, so fuck it.

Overall, the ending of REC•2 is what saves this film from becoming an exhausting test of patience on the senses. Hopefully the third installment will venture outside the apartment complex.

This virus cannot realistically be contained.. Then again.

The insanity of, Cory the Mechanical Zombie®

It's nuts. I wish I could sit here and give the low down on this maniacal story from hell's sandwich shop, but that would spoil all the fucking fun, now wouldn't it?!

It's a rather complex story. There are 4 main characters. My influence came from Rob Zombie. It's apparent to me that this is what it's shaping up to be, but without the sleaze - Just demented, animated lunacy.

Animation
Poetry
Sculptures

Comic Novel?

Possibly. It's just that simple.

The ideas just keep coming, but the order is there. I could keep adding characters and turn this into some Stephen King novel (no offense to the master), or just simplify it so the ridiculous factor doesn't go completely out of control here.

Character run down as it stands so far:

Von Pierre - Mad scientist/isolate
Cory - Loner, loser, jaded nihilist slob.
Fink - Cory's dark half. Murderer.
Orbie - A sociopathic jack in the box.

Some of this has unfolded on facebook, youtube, and vimeo. It will continue on until I've exhausted myself of ideas. It's hella fun for the whole freakin' family.

And it's under pantherj©copyright 2009

Joe Spinell

Maniac
The Last Horror Film

Maniac - to me - is one of those films I never get tired of watching. The special effects, plus brutally violent subject matter lure me in to its depravity and all out psychosis.

As crazy as Joe Spinell could be on and off screen, he loved women. Beyond that there's nothing left to say as far as that is concerned.

The film depicts a jaded, sexually frustrated, loner.. Reclusive yet normal in public. When alone, another story. Disturbing.. Very much so! His lust to kill makes him feel almost like a man feels after an orgasm with a women he either hardly knows, or doesn't really want to know. In this case, it's taken to extremes that are sometimes hard to watch.

The Last Horror Film has a place in my heart 'cause of its twisted story line. Joe weaves his magic through out, flawlessly in my opinion. Really a must see for any horror film enthusiast who appreciates the older Horror films.. The ones sometimes forgotten.

The Joker

I've always been a closet fan of Batman - Never spoke much, but became a bit excited every time a villain from the series was mentioned.

The Joker is one of those characters that has been idolized by so many; mainly for his lunicidal, schizoid personality. A nice offset to Batman.. The Jesus Christ slash, Lucifer mentality so many adore, including myself.

The figures and statues I've seen over the years in places like comic book/toy collector stores have left me somewhat astonished. I don't like giving into shock and awe nonsense, but the craftsmanship on these works are, well.. Amazing!

Dead Flick: Breakdown

The idea came in the Winter of 2006. I felt creative as hell, and decided film making would be a cool idea, even though I didn't own a video camera.

I was watching a lot of Horror films, especially zombie movies: Night, Dawn, Day of the Dead - Italian Directors, Lucio Fulci and Dario Argento became house hold names. Both of their styles were unique as far as how they approached story telling. Blood, gore, violence, and style…

/// I remember there was a time I couldn't watch these films. ///

Dead Flick came as an unconscious, experimental project. The original animated short took a couple of days to finish. I bought a digital voice recorder and went nuts with it.

Method Acting:

No script.. On the spot, situation acting. Acting? To me, it barely seems like it. That's what happens with multiple viewings of the Blair Witch project - I became fascinated, as well as conditioned in this form of expression.

After the first short film, I tried to continue and further the idea, but became side-tracked and decided to shelve it. Now, it's back. I cannot say where it's going from here, for fear of giving away too much. The first 6 minute film is finished.

I dedicate this film to George A. Romero. His films continue to inspire me. Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet him soon.

I would like to thank my friend Tommy Lombardozzi for allowing me to use his really cool song, "DRIVEL" in this film. His style of music fit perfectly into what I wanted to achieve, without much effort on my part.. Which was nice for a change considering how perfectionistic (neurotic) I can be.
